Rev. David Bailey writes, “Since 1998 when I read the book by Robert Foghorn, Everything I Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, I have been in a personal pilgrimage to write a type of sequel – Everything I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Sunday School. In fact, over this period of twenty-one years, I have developed the idea in a number of sermons and talks to various groups. Always giving Robert the highest accolades for his book, I thought for me and many others there was something missing – a dimension of education that has influenced millions of people. Some of their education started overtly or subtly even before kindergarten. It was called church school, parochial school, catechism school or most often Sunday school. Sunday school usually started with what was called primary class in most churches and lasted right through high school, young adult and senior adult classes.”
