My Longest Drive

I decided to write this book to tell my story of what I consider my longest drive, which for me was leaving professional golf to work in the urban community of West Palm Beach. I present this book now because there has never been a greater need for people to understand the plight of our urban poor. I am not a crusader and I have never attempted to make anyone feel guilty as a means to engage their support in my work. I invite you to slow down and read this book and hope that you will laugh and cry at the stories I have shared in these pages. I especially hope that you will read and listen for the voice of God urging you to make a difference in your world. There is plenty of hurt just outside your door and you can play an important role as a source of healing and reconciliation.
